Unlike traditional surfboards, SUP boards are longer, wider and have greater volume. This makes them very stable and perfectly suited for calm waters like the inner Sognefjord. Even beginners quickly feel comfortable on the board.

Standing while paddling gives you a unique perspective of the fjord and the surrounding mountains — quite different from sitting in a kayak. From the board, you enjoy excellent views of the clear water beneath you and the dramatic landscape around Skjolden.

If you prefer, you can sit or lie down on the board to relax, swim, or simply drift peacefully on the fjord. You can also easily pull the board ashore to explore small beaches and hidden spots along the shoreline.
