Learn how we grow fruit in the garden and how we turn fruit and berries into drinks. Taste five different types of cider and fruit wine, each paired with a sweet or savory bite, including a taste of the house chocolate. Non-alcoholic option available.

Do you care about the stories behind what you drink? Are you thirsty for new flavors and insights? You'll have a new understanding of fruit growing and cider production after visiting us. And you'll expand your world of taste by sampling 5 distinct ciders and fruit wines in our glass house overlooking the Sognefjord.
We start at the beginning, in our organic orchard on the banks of the Sognefjord, the oldest fruit-growing region in Norway. I’ll show how the tastes we seek start with small cuttings that stretch towards the sky in Balestrand’s unique fjord light.
Together we learn the basics of growing apples and the local traditions, from the 1100s to today. Then we step into the Cider House, where we taste our way through five ciders and fruit wines, and learn that apples are more than just apples. Together we get acquainted with the whole spectrum of tastes: sweet dessert apples, acidic cooking apples, and bitter cider apples.
And we’ll taste that cider is more than just cider. We sample our way through five unique styles, from light and easy “veranda berry cider” to a red fruit wine for dinner meals and a freeze concentrated apple liqueur. Served with some light snacks.
